Academy of Oncology Nurse & Patient Navigators

The Academy of Oncology Nurse & Patient Navigators (AONN+) is the largest national professional organization dedicated to improving patient care and quality of life by defining and standardizing the role of oncology navigation. It provides a network for over 9,000 healthcare professionals, including nurse navigators, patient navigators, and social workers, to share best practices and clinical knowledge. AONN+ offers nationally recognized certification programs, such as the Oncology Nurse Navigator-Certified Generalist (ONN-CG), and established the first national evidence-based navigation metrics. The organization also hosts annual conferences and publishes the Journal of Oncology Navigation & Survivorship (JONS) to advance the field of cancer care coordination.
