Adrenas Therapeutics, founded in 2018 and based in California, was a subsidiary of BridgeBio Pharma focused on developing an AAV-based gene therapy for classic congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH). Its lead candidate BBP‑631 targeted the CYP21A2 gene using an AAV5 vector. The company initiated a Phase 1/2 trial ("ADventure") in July 2021. In late 2024 or early 2025, BridgeBio discontinued development after enrolling eight patients; no treatment-related serious adverse events were reported. As of early 2025, there are no ongoing clinical programs at Adrenas Therapeutics.
