Akava Therapeutics General Information
AKV9 has completed a Phase I clinical trial successfully under compassionate use and is now proceeding with a first-in-human Phase I study after FDA IND clearance. Preclinical studies demonstrated that AKV9 improves neuronal health by inhibiting protein aggregation and restoring cellular integrity in ALS mouse models. It shows additive effects when combined with existing ALS drugs riluzole or edaravone[1][4][5][9]. The drug targets multiple cellular degeneration pathways critical to disease progression.
