(BEDCO) was a pioneering venture capital firm founded in 1979 that played a foundational role in the early development of the biotechnology and information technology industries. The firm is best known for its early-stage investments in industry-defining biotech companies such as Biogen, Chiron, and Cephalon. Operating with a bi-coastal presence in Boston and San Francisco, BEDCO provided critical capital and strategic guidance to emerging healthcare and tech startups during the 1980s and early 1990s.
