Centre for Immunology & Infection

The Centre for Immunology & Infection (C2i) is a major research initiative located in the Hong Kong Science Park, established as a collaboration between the University of Hong Kong (HKU) and the Institut Pasteur. Operating under the InnoHK initiative, C2i focuses on developing innovative solutions for the characterization of immune responses to infectious agents and the development of new diagnostic and therapeutic strategies. The center's work spans four main pillars: healthy immune profiling in the Asian population, precision medicine for infectious diseases, respiratory virus epidemiology, and the development of novel vaccine platforms. By leveraging high-throughput technologies and advanced immunology, C2i aims to transform the management of infectious diseases and enhance pandemic preparedness.
