Company intelligence / Profile preview
Cheil General Hospital & Women's Healthcare Center was a pioneering medical institution in South Korea, recognized as the nation's first hospital dedicated exclusively to women's health. Founded in 1963, it established a global reputation for excellence in reproductive medicine, particularly in the field of In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) and infertility treatments. The center offered a full spectrum of services including obstetrics, gynecology, pediatrics, and specialized oncology for women. However, following years of financial instability and labor disputes, the hospital suspended all clinical operations in late 2018. Its legacy remains significant in the history of Korean maternal and fetal medicine.
