Cure Children's Hospital of Uganda

CURE Children's Hospital of Uganda is a specialized pediatric neurosurgical facility located in Mbale, Uganda, and is a subsidiary of CURE International. Since its founding in 2001, the hospital has gained international recognition as a center of excellence for treating hydrocephalus and spina bifida. It is particularly noted for pioneering the ETV/CPC surgical technique, which provides a shunt-less alternative for managing hydrocephalus in infants. The hospital serves as a critical regional referral center and a global training site for pediatric neurosurgeons, significantly advancing neurosurgical care in sub-Saharan Africa. It operates as a non-profit, providing high-quality surgical care regardless of a family's ability to pay.
