Overview

DiObex had two lead drug candidates in mid-stage clinical development. DIO-901 (very low dose glucagon) was being developed for preventing insulin-induced hypoglycemia in diabetes patients and had received Fast Track status from the FDA. DIO-902 (levdexketoconazole), a cortisol synthesis inhibitor, was in development for type 2 diabetes and diabetic nephropathy. The company completed Phase 2a clinical trials and was planning to initiate a 16-week Phase 2b dose-ranging study in patients with type 2 diabetes by mid-2007.[1][4]
