Company intelligence / Profile preview
Doctors' Hospital of Shreveport was a 154-bed acute care medical facility located in Shreveport, Louisiana. For over 50 years, the hospital provided a wide range of healthcare services, including emergency medicine, diagnostic imaging, and surgical procedures to the Ark-La-Tex region. In 2010, the hospital's parent company, Community Health Systems, announced the closure of the facility due to shifting market dynamics and declining patient volumes. Following the cessation of operations, the hospital's physical assets and real estate were acquired by the Willis-Knighton Health System. The facility has since been repurposed as the Willis-Knighton Rehabilitation Institute, continuing to serve the local community under new management.
