Electronics, Sensors and Photonics Knowledge Transfer Network

The Electronics, Sensors and Photonics Knowledge Transfer Network (ESPKTN) was a UK-based innovation network established to facilitate collaboration between industry, academia, and government. Funded by Innovate UK, the network focused on accelerating the development and commercialization of advanced technologies in electronics, sensors, and photonics. Within the healthcare sector, it played a vital role in supporting the development of medical devices, diagnostic sensors, and imaging technologies. The organization provided its members with access to technical expertise, strategic partnerships, and information regarding government funding opportunities. By bridging the gap between research and industrial application, ESPKTN helped UK businesses bring high-tech products to market more efficiently. In 2014, the ESPKTN was merged with other thematic networks to form the unified Knowledge Transfer Network, which is now known as Innovate UK Business Connect.
