G. Hartzell & Son

G. Hartzell & Son was a U.S. manufacturer of precision dental and surgical hand instruments, with product lines spanning periodontal and dental hygiene, restorative dentistry, surgery, orthodontics, implantology, diagnostics, and endodontics. Founded in 1935 and historically based in Concord, California, the company manufactured a large share of its instruments domestically and was known for premium hand instrumentation and cone socket removable-tip designs. In March 2014, DenMat acquired substantially all assets of G. Hartzell & Son, and the business ceased to operate as an independent company. The Hartzell brand and instrument catalog continued to have market presence after the acquisition through DenMat-related channels and distributor listings.
