GeoVax’s lead COVID‑19 vaccine candidate GEO-CM04S1 is in three Phase 2 trials targeting immunocompromised patients as a primary or booster vaccine as well as healthy adults previously vaccinated with mRNA vaccines. Interim data show strong immune responses especially in populations with unmet need. The BARDA-funded Phase 2b trial was terminated for external reasons but not due to efficacy or safety concerns. In oncology, Gedeptin® completed a multicenter Phase 1/2 trial for advanced head and neck cancers; a new Phase 2 study is planned combining Gedeptin® with an immune checkpoint inhibitor. Preclinical cancer vaccine candidates have shown promising tumor growth reduction. Additional infectious disease vaccines are advancing toward clinical stage.
