Global Innovation & Technology Alliance (GITA) is a not-for-profit Section 8 company and a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) between the Technology Development Board (TDB) of the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India, and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). The organization serves as a specialized agency to facilitate industrial R&D and innovation through global collaborations and strategic funding. GITA manages bilateral programs with countries such as Israel, Canada, Finland, and the UK, focusing on high-impact sectors including healthcare, clean energy, and advanced manufacturing. In the life sciences domain, GITA supports the development and commercialization of medical devices, diagnostics, and biotechnology solutions by providing financial support and networking opportunities to Indian industries and their international partners.
