HBO & Company (HBOC) was a prominent provider of healthcare information technology solutions, specializing in software for hospital management and clinical data. Founded in 1974, the company became a market leader in the 1990s by offering integrated financial and clinical systems designed to improve hospital efficiency and patient care. The company's product suite included the Star and Pathways systems, which were widely adopted by healthcare providers across the United States.
