Hong Kong Institute of Science & Innovation

The Hong Kong Institute of Science & Innovation (HKISI) is a prominent research and development organization established by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in the Hong Kong Science Park. Operating under the HKSAR Government's InnoHK initiative, the institute is comprised of two flagship centers: the Centre for Regenerative Medicine and Health (CRMH) and the Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (CAIR). HKISI focuses on the translation of fundamental research into clinical therapies, with core strengths in stem cell biology, regenerative medicine, and AI-integrated healthcare. Its lead therapeutic candidate, Neu-001, is a first-in-class small molecule for the treatment of amblyopia that has successfully entered Phase 1 clinical trials.
