Prior to its acquisition by Horizon Pharma in May 2015, Hyperion marketed two FDA-approved therapies—Ravicti and Buphenyl—for urea cycle disorders. Ravicti showed strong sales growth year-over-year. The company also acquired Andromeda Biotech and its late-stage asset DiaPep277 for new-onset type I diabetes, which was in a confirmatory Phase III trial at the time of acquisition[3][6][10].

After the $1.1B acquisition by Horizon Pharma, all programs were integrated into Horizon's portfolio[1][3].

No new independent clinical results have been reported under the Hyperion name since the merger.
