Formerly known as Mercy Hospital & Medical Center, the facility was acquired by Insight Health System in 2021 to prevent its closure and maintain essential healthcare services for the South Side community. The hospital provides a wide array of medical services, including 24/7 emergency care, cardiology, maternal health, and behavioral health services. As a teaching institution, it supports various residency programs and is committed to addressing healthcare inequities in underserved urban populations. The center continues to expand its clinical offerings and modernize its infrastructure under the leadership of the Insight Health System.
