Intralytix has pioneered the development of bacteriophage-based products for controlling bacterial pathogens across multiple sectors. It was the first company globally to receive FDA/USDA approval for a phage-based food safety product and has since developed several FDA/USDA-approved products targeting major foodborne pathogens. The company also leads U.S.-based clinical research into phage therapies for wound infections and Crohn’s disease but does not yet have an approved commercial therapeutic product for humans. Its manufacturing capabilities are among the largest cGMP facilities dedicated to bacteriophages in the U.S., supporting both R&D and commercial production.
