Company intelligence / Profile preview
Johnson & Johnson Nigeria Limited (operating recently as Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine Nigeria) was the Nigerian subsidiary of the global healthcare giant Johnson & Johnson. Headquartered in Lagos, the company was responsible for the distribution, marketing, and medical affairs of J&J's pharmaceutical, medical device, and consumer health portfolios in Nigeria. Historically, the subsidiary focused on critical therapeutic areas including oncology, immunology, neuroscience, and infectious diseases, notably supporting public health initiatives and distributing the Janssen COVID-19 vaccine. In late 2025, amid worsening economic conditions, foreign exchange scarcity, and high operational costs in Nigeria, the company announced plans to wind down its operations and exit the country, following the prior exit of its Consumer Healthcare division in 2022.
