Kalypsys, Inc.

Kalypsys was a San Diego-based biotech company founded in 2001 that developed a proprietary high-throughput drug discovery platform. The company focused on small molecule therapeutics targeting pain/inflammation, cardiovascular/metabolic disorders, oncology, and respiratory diseases. Its lead programs included PPAR Delta agonists for metabolic disease (KD3010), iNOS inhibitors for neuropathic pain (KD7040), and HDAC inhibitors for cancer (KD5170). The company raised significant venture capital (~$172M) but does not appear active or commercially successful as of the mid–2020s.
