Sara's Cure

Sara's Cure is a non-profit research and advocacy organization dedicated to finding a cure for Clear Cell Sarcoma (CCS), an ultra-rare and aggressive soft tissue cancer. The organization functions as a virtual biotech, funding and coordinating research to overcome the lack of standard care and investment in this orphan disease. By establishing a global patient registry and a centralized biobank, Sara’s Cure facilitates genomic sequencing and the development of patient-derived xenograft (PDX) models. They collaborate closely with academic institutions and biotechnology partners to identify and validate novel therapeutic targets, specifically focusing on the EWSR1-ATF1 translocation. Their primary fundraising initiative, "Swim for Sara," supports ongoing clinical trials and natural history studies aimed at improving survival outcomes for CCS patients.
