Company intelligence / Profile preview
St. Vincent's Catholic Medical Centers (SVCMC) was a major non-profit healthcare system that served the New York City metropolitan area. The organization was anchored by its flagship facility, St. Vincent's Hospital in Manhattan, which functioned as a primary teaching hospital and a Level 1 trauma center. SVCMC provided a wide array of services including emergency medicine, oncology, behavioral health, and specialized HIV/AIDS care. After facing prolonged financial difficulties and two bankruptcy filings, the system ceased most operations in 2010, leading to the closure of its historic Manhattan hospital and the sale of its remaining assets to other regional healthcare entities.
