Texas Children's Health Plan

Texas Children's Health Plan is a non-profit managed care organization and a subsidiary of Texas Children's Hospital, the largest pediatric hospital in the United States. Established in 1996, it was the first health maintenance organization in the nation created specifically for children and pregnant women. The organization provides comprehensive health coverage through Texas Medicaid (STAR and STAR+PLUS) and the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP). Serving members in the Houston, Beaumont, and Tyler areas, the plan focuses on delivering high-quality healthcare services through an extensive network of providers and community-based programs.
