The Academy of Medicine of Cleveland & Northern Ohio

The Academy of Medicine of Cleveland & Northern Ohio (AMCNO) is a non-profit professional medical association representing more than 7,400 physicians and medical students in Northern Ohio. Established in 1824, it is the oldest professional organization in Ohio and serves as a primary advocate for the medical profession and public health in the region. The AMCNO focuses on legislative advocacy, providing practice resources, and fostering community health initiatives such as the Northeast Ohio Opioid Consortium and First Year Cleveland. Through its charitable arm, the Academy of Medicine Education Foundation (AMEF), the organization also provides significant scholarships to medical students. AMCNO remains a critical hub for medical networking, education, and professional development for healthcare providers in the Cleveland area.
