[11C] PIPE-307 is a radiolabeled form of PIPE-307, an investigational, brain-penetrant small molecule that acts as a highly selective antagonist of the muscarinic acetylcholine receptor M1 (M1AChR). The compound is primarily used as a PET imaging agent to measure central M1 receptor occupancy in humans and non-human primates. The parent drug, PIPE-307, is being developed for neuroregenerative therapy in multiple sclerosis (MS), with the aim of promoting remyelination by antagonizing M1 receptors and thereby supporting oligodendrocyte precursor cell differentiation and myelin repair. [11C] labeling allows for visualization and quantification of target engagement in vivo using PET scans. The developer is Pipeline Therapeutics[1][2][3][4][5].
