Overview

[11C]ML10302 is a Carbon-11 labeled radiopharmaceutical developed by the Institut National de la Santé et de la Recherche Médicale (INSERM) for use as a Positron Emission Tomography (PET) tracer. It is a high-affinity, selective agonist for the 5-HT4 (serotonin 4) receptor. The tracer is primarily utilized in clinical and preclinical research to visualize and quantify the density and distribution of 5-HT4 receptors in the brain. This imaging tool is particularly relevant for investigating the pathophysiology of neurodegenerative and psychiatric conditions, such as Alzheimer's disease and major depressive disorder, where 5-HT4 receptor expression is known to be altered. By providing a non-invasive means to study serotonergic signaling, [11C]ML10302 aids in the development of therapeutic strategies targeting the 5-HT4 system.
