Overview

A radioiodinated cocaine analog used as a radiotracer in SPECT imaging to visualize dopamine transporters (DAT) and serotonin transporters (SERT) in the brain. It has a physical half-life of approximately 13 hours and requires imaging around 20-30 hours after injection to achieve stable levels of striatal radioactivity. It's primarily used in research and clinical settings for evaluating patients with movement disorders like Parkinson's disease.
