[123I]MNI-390 is an investigational radiopharmaceutical developed by the Institute for Neurodegenerative Disorders for use as a Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT) imaging biomarker. It is a small molecule ligand labeled with the radioisotope Iodine-123, designed to cross the blood-brain barrier and bind with high affinity to beta-amyloid protein plaques, which are characteristic pathological features of Alzheimer's disease.
