Drug intelligence / Profile preview
`[177Lu]Lu-2JZO` is a novel, de novo designed miniprotein-based radiopharmaceutical targeting the interleukin-3 receptor subunit alpha (CD123), which is overexpressed in acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Developed by AI Proteins in collaboration with the Molecular Imaging and Theranostics Center at the University of Missouri, the agent consists of a machine learning-designed 5.6 kDa miniprotein conjugated to a DOTA chelator via a C-terminal lysine residue and radiolabeled with Lutetium-177 (177Lu). In preclinical models of AML, `[177Lu]Lu-2JZO` has demonstrated high and specific tumor uptake, making it a promising candidate for targeted radionuclide therapy (TRT) and molecular imaging (theranostics) of AML.
