[18F]AldoView is a fluorine-18 labeled, highly selective positron emission tomography (PET) tracer designed to target and image aldosterone synthase (CYP11B2) expression in the adrenal glands. It acts as a potent and selective inhibitor of human CYP11B2, with minimal off-target binding to CYP11B1, enabling noninvasive detection and subtyping of primary aldosteronism (PA), particularly for identifying aldosterone-producing adenomas (APAs) and nodules. The tracer demonstrates high metabolic stability, favorable pharmacokinetics, rapid distribution and clearance in preclinical models, and strong correlation between PET signal intensity and CYP11B2 expression in resected tissue. First-in-human studies confirm its safety, feasibility for clinical imaging of PA patients, and potential utility for guiding diagnosis and management of hyperaldosteronism[1][2][3][4][5][6].
