[18F]DPA-714 is a radioactive tracer used in Positron Emission Tomography (PET) imaging that specifically binds to the 18-kDa translocator protein (TSPO), formerly known as the peripheral benzodiazepine receptor. This radiotracer is designed to visualize neuroinflammation in the brain by targeting TSPO, which is expressed at higher levels in activated microglia during inflammatory processes.
