[18F]F-NYM124 is a next-generation radiopharmaceutical imaging agent designed for the detection of clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). It consists of a small molecule ligand, NYM124, which specifically targets Carbonic Anhydrase IX (CAIX), a tumor-associated antigen that is highly overexpressed in ccRCC due to the von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) gene mutation. Labeled with the positron-emitting isotope fluorine-18 (18F), the tracer is used in PET/CT imaging to non-invasively identify primary and metastatic lesions with high sensitivity and specificity. Developed by Norroy Bioscience, [18F]F-NYM124 aims to address the limitations of conventional imaging and biopsy in characterizing indeterminate renal masses by providing high tumor-to-background ratios and rapid systemic clearance.
