Overview
[18F]FPyGal is a diagnostic radiopharmaceutical that functions as a β-galactosidase modulator. It shows increased in vitro and in vivo uptake in senescent cells and tumors. The compound is being investigated for its ability to detect therapy-resistant tumor cells through visualization of tumor senescence. No toxicity of the compound has been detected in studies conducted so far.
