The Macropa chelator is specifically optimized for the stable sequestration of large metal ions like 225Ac, while the PEG4 linker helps maintain favorable pharmacokinetics and reduces background tissue binding. In preclinical research, this agent is utilized to establish the baseline effects of non-specific radiation delivery and antibody circulation, allowing researchers to isolate the efficacy of target-specific conjugates like [225Ac]Macropa-PEG4-7065.
