Drug intelligence / Profile preview
[68Ga]Ga-DN14 is a gallium-68 radiolabeled cholecystokinin-2 receptor (CCK2R) antagonist developed for diagnostic imaging and theranostic applications in oncology [1]. It consists of a CCK2R antagonist peptide vector (an analogue of CRL1 or CRL3) conjugated to the bifunctional chelator DOTAGA and radiolabeled with the positron-emitting isotope gallium-68 [1]. [68Ga]Ga-DN14 specifically targets CCK2R, which is overexpressed in various malignancies such as medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC), small cell lung cancer (SCLC), and neuroendocrine tumors. By binding to CCK2R as an antagonist, it avoids the potential adverse effects associated with CCK2R agonists while enabling high-contrast positron emission tomography (PET) imaging of CCK2R-positive tumors [1].
