[68Ga]Ga-DOTA-(2P-PEG0) is a Gallium-68 labeled radiopharmaceutical designed for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging of prostate cancer. It is a dimeric molecular probe that targets the prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA), which is highly expressed in prostate cancer cells. The structure consists of a DOTA chelator for Gallium-68 coordination, linked to two PSMA-targeting motifs (2P) without a polyethylene glycol (PEG) spacer (PEG0). In comparative studies, this dimer was evaluated alongside PEGylated versions to determine the impact of multivalent effects and PEGylation on tumor accumulation, pharmacokinetics, and kidney clearance. It serves as a diagnostic tool to visualize and stage prostate cancer lesions.
