Overview

[68Ga]Ga-NOTA-G2 is a **gallium-68-labeled radiopharmaceutical** constructed by chelating the positron-emitting radioisotope gallium-68 (^68Ga) using the NOTA chelator and conjugating it to the G2 targeting vector. The NOTA chelator is widely used for ^68Ga radiopharmacy as it forms stable complexes with gallium and allows efficient radiolabeling[2][4]. ^68Ga-NOTA-G2 is primarily developed for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging, intended to target specific molecular biomarkers, typically enabling visualization of target receptor-positive tumors or disease tissue. This agent binds to its molecular target (specificity for G2’s target should be confirmed in literature, but generally NOTA-based tracers target receptors such as somatostatin, PSMA, VCAM-1, etc.), delivers the β+ emitting ^68Ga for high-resolution PET detection, and is eliminated rapidly from non-target tissues to increase contrast. It is investigational and generally under preclinical or early clinical development for molecular imaging applications.[2][4]
