Overview

[68Ga]Ga-P14-032 is a gallium-68 labeled radiopharmaceutical developed as a positron emission tomography (PET) imaging tracer. It is specifically designed to bind with high affinity to vascular β-amyloid deposits, which are a hallmark of Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy (CAA). Unlike many existing amyloid tracers that primarily target parenchymal plaques associated with Alzheimer's disease, [68Ga]Ga-P14-032 is intended to provide a more specific diagnostic tool for CAA by highlighting amyloid accumulation within the cerebral vessel walls. Early clinical research, including studies conducted by researchers at Beijing Tiantan Hospital and the University of Pennsylvania, suggests that this tracer can differentiate CAA patients from those with Alzheimer's disease or healthy controls based on regional distribution patterns in the brain.
