Drug intelligence / Profile preview
[68Ga]Ga-P8 is a novel gallium-68 labeled macrocyclic peptide positron emission tomography (PET) tracer designed to target the urokinase-type plasminogen activator receptor (uPAR), a well-established biomarker for aggressive malignancies. Developed through a dual-optimization strategy involving head-to-tail macrocyclization and linker engineering, [68Ga]Ga-P8 features a peptide-based linker that provides high hydrophilicity, high binding affinity (Kd < 5 nM), and excellent metabolic stability. In preclinical tumor xenograft models, [68Ga]Ga-P8 demonstrated rapid and high tumor accumulation with prolonged retention, significantly outperforming the reference tracer [68Ga]Ga-DOTA-AE105.
