Drug intelligence / Profile preview
[68Ga]Ga-PSMA is a gallium-68 radiolabeled radiopharmaceutical targeting prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA), also known as glutamate carboxypeptidase II. It is widely used as a positron emission tomography (PET) imaging agent to detect, stage, and monitor PSMA-expressing tumors. While primarily utilized in prostate cancer, PSMA is also overexpressed on the neovasculature of various other solid tumors, including clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC), making [68Ga]Ga-PSMA a valuable diagnostic tool for evaluating tumor burden, staging, and treatment response in non-prostate malignancies as well.
