Drug intelligence / Profile preview
[68Ga]Ga-TG3 (also referred to as [68Ga]Ga-tg3) is a radiolabeled neuropeptide-Y (NPY) analogue designed to target the neuropeptide-Y receptor type 5 (Y5R) for cancer imaging and potentially theranostic applications [1.1]. The peptide backbone, tg3 (DOTA-[cPP(1-7),NPY(19-32),Ala31,Aib32,Gln34]-hPP), is a highly selective Y5 receptor agonist [1.1]. When radiolabeled with the positron emitter gallium-68, it serves as a positron emission tomography (PET) imaging tracer [1.1]. Preclinical studies have demonstrated high affinity and selectivity for Y5R, with potential utility in imaging Y5R-overexpressing cancers such as breast and prostate cancers [1.1].
