[68Ga]Ga-THP-PDL1-3 is an investigational radiopharmaceutical tracer developed for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging of Programmed cell death 1 ligand 1 (PD-L1) expression in patients with solid tumors. The tracer consists of a PD-L1-targeting ligand (PDL1-3) conjugated to a tris(hydroxypyridinone) (THP) chelator, which allows for rapid, one-step radiolabeling with the positron-emitting isotope Gallium-68 (68Ga). This molecular probe is designed to non-invasively detect and quantify PD-L1 expression in both primary and metastatic lesions, providing insights into the spatial and temporal heterogeneity of the target. Its clinical application aims to improve patient selection for immune checkpoint inhibitor therapies and to monitor treatment efficacy or the emergence of resistance.
