Drug intelligence / Profile preview
[68Ga]MLN6907 is a radiopharmaceutical diagnostic imaging agent developed by Millennium Pharmaceuticals (a subsidiary of Takeda). It is a Gallium-68 labeled tracer designed for Positron Emission Tomography (PET) imaging. The agent specifically targets Guanylate Cyclase 2C (GUCY2C), a transmembrane receptor protein that is normally expressed in the intestinal epithelium but is frequently overexpressed in primary and metastatic colorectal carcinoma (mCRC). By binding to GUCY2C, [68Ga]MLN6907 allows for the non-invasive detection and localization of metastatic lesions, such as liver metastases, and can be used to evaluate GUCY2C expression levels to identify patients who may benefit from GUCY2C-targeted therapeutic agents.
