[89Zr]Zr-DFO-CIT-013 is a radiolabeled monoclonal antibody developed by Citryll B.V. for use as a PET imaging tracer. It consists of the humanized monoclonal antibody CIT-013, which targets citrullinated histones (specifically citrullinated histone H3) associated with Neutrophil Extracellular Traps (NETs), conjugated to the chelator deferoxamine (DFO) and labeled with the positron-emitting isotope Zirconium-89. CIT-013 is designed to inhibit the formation and promote the clearance of NETs, which play a key role in the pathogenesis of various inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. The radiolabeled version is primarily used in clinical trials to visualize NET-rich lesions and assess the biodistribution and target engagement of CIT-013 in patients with conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and hidradenitis suppurativa.
