[99mTc]Tc-N4-[Hse7]MJ9 is a technetium-99m labeled radiopharmaceutical designed for SPECT/CT imaging of tumors expressing the gastrin-releasing peptide receptor (GRPR). It consists of a modified bombesin derivative (MJ9) where the glutamine at position 7 is replaced with homoserine (Hse7), conjugated to an N4 chelator (6-carboxy-1,4,8,11-tetraazaundecane). This modification aims to optimize pharmacokinetics by improving tumor-to-background contrast in the abdominal region and reducing radiation dose to the pancreas, which naturally expresses GRPR. Preclinical studies in PC-3 prostate cancer models have demonstrated high receptor affinity and favorable biodistribution.
