[99mTc]Tc-Soluplus + d-alpha-tocopheryl polyethylene glycol succinate is a radiolabeled nanodiagnostic agent developed for preclinical molecular imaging in oncology. It consists of polymeric micelles formed by the combination of Soluplus, a polyvinyl caprolactam-polyvinyl acetate-polyethylene glycol graft copolymer, and d-alpha-tocopheryl polyethylene glycol succinate (TPGS), which are subsequently radiolabeled with the gamma-emitting radioisotope Technetium-99m ([99mTc]Tc). This radionanoprobe (RNP) is designed to characterize biological processes associated with the diagnosis and monitoring of breast and colon cancers in animal models. The micellar structure provides a stable delivery vehicle for the radioisotope and can be further functionalized with targeting ligands, such as glucose or bevacizumab, to enhance specificity toward tumors expressing GLUT1 or VEGFR, respectively.
