Drug intelligence / Profile preview
[99mTc]Tc-Soluplus + glucose is a radiopharmaceutical imaging agent (radionanoprobe) developed for preclinical oncology research. It consists of Soluplus® polymeric micelles functionalized with glucose to target the GLUT1 transporter, which is frequently overexpressed in tumor cells. The micelles are radiolabeled with technetium-99m (99mTc) for detection via Single-Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT). This diagnostic tool is primarily used to characterize biological processes, diagnose, and monitor therapeutic interventions in animal models of breast and colon cancer. The nanoprobe maintains a size of approximately 100 nm and has demonstrated effective signal-to-background ratios in breast cancer models.
