Overview

[F-18]MeFAMP is a radioconjugate composed of the non-natural amino acid (R)-3-fluoro-2-methyl-2-(methylamino)propanoic acid (MeFAMP) radiolabeled with the positron-emitting isotope fluorine-18. It functions as a system A amino acid transport substrate for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging of primary and metastatic brain tumors. The tracer has shown promising results in preclinical models for imaging brain tumors and other malignancies.
