Drug intelligence / Profile preview
[F-18]MHF is a radiopharmaceutical containing the positron-emitting isotope Fluorine-18, developed for diagnostic imaging using Positron Emission Tomography (PET). It is designed to detect bacterial infections, particularly those associated with orthopedic implants. Administered intravenously, [F-18]MHF accumulates in areas of bacterial infection, allowing for their visualization and differentiation from inflammation, which is an advantage over some other PET tracers like [18F]FDG. It is currently being investigated in clinical trials for this diagnostic application.
