1'-acetoxychavicol acetate

1'-Acetoxychavicol acetate is a phenol ester with a wide range of biological activities including antioxidative, anti-obesity, antibacterial, anti-parasitic, chemopreventive, and anticancer properties. It inhibits xanthine oxidase and activates TRPA1, an ion channel involved in pain signaling. It has been shown to inhibit adipogenesis, decrease visceral fat in animal models, and exhibit antitumor activities in various cancer models. Additionally, it acts as a NF-kappaB inhibitor and suppresses nitric oxide synthase production. It is naturally found in plants of the Zingiberaceae family, notably Alpinia galanga.
